3.1 OECF

The opto-electronic conversion function (OECF) test can be applied to all gray scales and color charts.

- Select the test chart.
- Select the test (OECF Analysis).
- Open the test image.
- Click Analyse.

The OECF test computes the profiles of the results and the references in the RGB color space and the Y channel. The OECF test also computes the errors between the profiles. If the reference file is not available, the OECF computes only the profile of the results.

The results and the references in the RGB color space are expressed in 24-bit colors. The results and the references in the Y channel are expressed in f-stops (EV).

The OECF test draws four plots. The first three plots include the results and the references of R, G, and B channels. The fourth plot includes the results and the references of the Y channel. The results are drawn with light and the references are drawn with dark colors.
