Kate Labs Ltd is a software development company specialized in applications for testing digital cameras and lenses. The company was founded in summer 2008 and it is owned by its founders and current employees. The company is located in Helsinki, Finland.

The name of the company comes from words "kamera" and "testaaminen", which stand for "camera" and "testing" respectively. The origin of the company was created already in winter 2007 when the founders started to create new applications for digital image processing. After a lengthy period of research and development, the first prototype of the new application was finished in spring 2008.

The purpose is to develop intuitive applications which enable rapid results without previous knowledge of testing digital cameras and lenses. The first application called Frame is currently under development. The target is to release version 1.0 of Frame in winter 2009 after the beta testing program.
